Hollywood, here we come!

Last week, I told Logan she could have a "Logan's day" and do whatever she wanted. To my surprise, she chose to go to Hollywood to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Apparently, she is star struck these days! Wow, how things change....

Once again, my sister came to the rescue! Thank goodness she was able to come with us, because A)I am horrible with direction....B) I hate city life....and C) There was really no way I wanted to do it by myself.

But this is right up my sister's alley....So our first stop was finding a place to eat. Along the way, Hayden got a kick out seeing a huge Mickey Mouse!

And then we went to California Pizza Kitchen, and Logan was excited to see the Hollywood sign from even closer :)

And when we were done eating, we ventured out (in the 103 degree weather no less) to see the STARS!!!! It was Logan's day, so her wish was our command!

We also made it to the Chinese Theatre, which was fun to see as well.

And that was that!

Well, actually..... on our way back to the car, we visited an old-fashioned soda fountain store, but since Hayden and Brenna both decided to throw massive fits while we were there (I'm talking, the kind of fits where everyone stares and you feel like the absolute worst mom on the planet...yep, that kind), I didn't really think of taking any pictures.

Good-bye Hollywood! It was nice visiting you, but I miss my cows! :)

La Quinta!!

My very thoughtful and generous husband decided to surprise me with a weekend away to the La Quinta Resort as an early birthday gift. Thankfully, he had it all planned out with my sister to come watch the girls, with the help of nama. I am so grateful for them!!!!

Here is me before our trip.....

And here is me later....

Awwww.....need I say more??

Our first stop was my all time favorite breakfast spot - The Avocado House! They have a caramel syrup there that is to die for, and has single handedly made us their number one fans!

And then we were off to enjoy the sun and pool, together....and did I mention there were no kids????

This location was perfect for us because we didn't have to leave at all. There were restaurants and stores right on the premises all within walking distance. Here I am getting ready for a date night :)

And here we are enjoying yummy Mexican food, my favorite!

The next morning we headed out to our day at the SPA!!!

For those who know me well, I'm not much of a spa girl...I never really have enjoyed massages, and I'm not too comfortable with barely any clothes on around people I don't know. But surprisingly, doing it all with Todd completely changed that. I really, REALLY enjoyed it! Who would have known?

And then.....as if in the blink of an eye, it was time to come home.

What a great weekend though! I am so glad we got the opportunity, and the kids seemed to enjoy it too. They were all great for my sister! In fact, the waitress said that they were the most well behaved kids she had ever seen! Really? My monkeys??? :) I think Deda must have the magic touch!!!! Hmmm....maybe we need to get away more often! (wink, wink)

Concerts in the Park

Every summer, the city of Chino Hills puts on Concerts in the Park. It is great music, a great atmosphere, and the BEST Kettle corn ever! We have enjoyed these fun family nights since we moved here. This year, so far we were able to go with Nama, and also with my good friend Elisabeth and her family.

Here's Nama, enjoying the view.

Hayden's getting ready to dance....

Logan decides to join in the fun!

And Brenna was little miss social bug. She kept crawling down the hill to talk to these sweet little girls! I am glad they liked babies!

For 80's night, my girls and Elisabeth's boys had a blast!

Here's Natanial showing his moves for Hayden.

And cute little Micah was having fun with the stroller.

Hayden just kicking back....

It was fun for everyone!!
